No, I don't know anyone with the last name "Tuttle." I just came across that name at work and have been wanting to say that all day....

It's not as bad as Schmuck or Bonk.
You really have to feel for those people.
We had a local family with the last name of Pop and the parents named their children Soda and Lolly. We also have a Lemonjello and Orangejello and a Shithead (pronounced sha-theed.)

My mother also came across a kid in Kansas City with the first name of TurboZ.

"Schmuck" is unfortunate and "Bonk" is kind-of funny, but there's something about "Tuttle" that really irks me.

what was wrong with Mr. Tuttle from Saved By The Bell? He led the glee club to a state championship.

Fictional Tuttle's are exempt.

I hate to be the one to break the news to you, Babe, but we have relatives named Tuttle. They are third or fourth cousins to you. They live in Summerville, MO and raise turtles! Just kidding, about the turtles. I think it was goats actually. Their grandmother was Aunt Tillie. Aunt Tillie was a LPN at the Oakland hospital. She was a great help to me when your sister, Cathy was born. I was trying to breast feed Cathy and I didn't have a clue. Remember I was only twenty years old. Any way, Aunt Tille knew more than the doctor and the RN's. Aunt Tillie was my mom's sister and she was a sweetheart. Also be thankful that Grandpa Curtis was not adopted by Charlie Wobbe. We could be Wobbe's and that is right up there with Tuttle!

Re: Tuttle
Oh. My. God.

Anyone named Tillie who helped my Mother with her first child is exempt.

Re: Tuttle
Yeah, that's pretty messed up. Under normal circumstances I'd say that deserves a double bitch slap, but family is family, you know.

Whew, that was close! (I'm a Suttle) The Tuttle's lived three houses down from where I grew up but I don't remember feeling the need to slap any of them.

Yep. That was a close one. You will not be slapped. I'm not sure about the Tuttles down the street from where you grew up though. They might have to be slapped.

Tuttle doesn't make me want to slap anyone, but it does make me think of the book "Toot and Puddle"!

Re: Names
Hmmm. I haven't heard of that one. A children's book I presume?

Re: Names
yes - a children's book. i have 2 kids (ages 16 & 7) and have immersed myself in children's picture books for a number of years. i even have my own shelf of them.

Boy howdy could I give you a list of fucked up names. Rents are coming up...as I run across them I'll make note and give you a list :) Bug usually gets them IM'd to her if she's working at the same time as I am...that must be annoying...to be working along, minding your own Bug business and all of a sudden *bam!* "honeyman! teehee!"
