I remember you recommending Italo Calvino. I found If on a Winter's Night a Traveler but haven't started it yet. I'm looking forward to it though.

Have you ever read Lolita?

If on a Winter's Night a Traveler is one of my all-time favorites. I hope you like it; it's a trip. I'm afraid I haven't read any Nabakov, though I did see the newer movie version that got everyone all upset.

One Hundred Years of Solitude rounded out my book list for last year. I liked it, but I liked Love in the Time of Cholera better.

Right now I'm reading Marquez's Living To Tell The Tale (the first book of his autobiography), and while it's still fascinating I keep waiting for that ol' Marquez "fantasy realism" to kick in..
